should i swap my safari for an excalibur , pros and cons ?
i want to do land and beach detecting which is what i do with the safari however i ALSO want to get into water detecting which my safari cannot do  .
should i have both or will an excalibur do everything the safari does.
are the tones similar to the safari or will i have to relearn the noises?

the Excalibur II is both land and water detector, but it really does depend on how much time you want to spend in the water. personally i think the excal II is a better land machine than the safari, and is one of the ultimate beach machines.
but its your choice at the end of the day ... you are the one that needs to be happy with the decision

Q: Would i swap( as in me personally) excal II for safari, .....yes i would

I would say get both, I admit I haven't used the newer Excalibur II but I did the original and didn't find it quite as deep as the Sov but obviously the coil is hard wired and so can't be changed and remember what I said regarding proper diving machines depth is something you don't particularly want, also the Excalibur is nearly a pound heavier than the Safari as once again it's designed for underwater where this is a plus. Undecided
