Anyone know this it was in a coin an I cleaned it an it all come off an left a bronze  yellowy coin Huh?? Heavy to for a small thing .. It took a pic of it before I cleaned it ..lucky

it is / was a roman sestertius - you can see the 'S and C' flanking the person - the yellow metal tells you it was a brass one rather than a bronze one, so likely to be 2nd century

this is one I cleaned up a while ago , if you look closely you can just make out a charging roman soldier and a few chariots  Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

Nice find Mike, I can see the nice red bronze colour coming through, its a shame about all the farming chemicals as its just eat away at the patina, but if you look closely there is still a little green patina next to the chariots wheels.......Its a shame really but still nice to find Wink Frame it mate
