Doesn't look to be that old.  Very hard to tell age of lead. You can usually only go by the amount of patina that has built up.(How white it is)

It's def. a weight of some sort. Age unknown.

I believe lead is the most dense of the metals,( I'm sure someone may correct me,) and is therefore very heavy for it's size.

I have put 2 pics for you to look at.   1 for patina....prob. Medieval  and 1 for weight.( I just put it on my kitchen scales and they are still crying.)  They go to 5kg so I don't know how heavy it is.

Gold if nearly twice as heavy but your right Val lead is the heaviest of the "common" metal we're likely to find.

I think it's a lot heavier than that Titanium.  I dug it up when I was landscaping the back garden and I have no idea what it was used for.
