I had a couple of hours detecting today with my two boys, its always trouble Cheesy todays hunt was cut short by them kicking mud dust around Undecided it was far to dry for detecting really, I did have a few large deep finds but most was surface due to the dry conditions.

The finds made was a cut half, pendent hanger, silver florin, and a possible coin weight what's very worn.

The finds of the day went to my mate this time with the best early milled silver George 1st shilling I have seen, and a very fine detailed noble weight, plus a hammered or two Roll Eyes his photos will follow Wink

Pici of the boys made me smile. Took me back a few years. Roll Eyes

Had a very quick hour this morning, but managed 2 hammered coins, I really did luck out today as I only dug about 15 holes......hammereds are a little like roman groat, you need to dig loads before a good one arrives Roll Eyes I think it has arrived today with the hpenny Wink

Ooooohhhhh    Lovely Dale.   Just think, it's been in the soil for 730 years, give or take a few, and it looks like it was struck last week.

Great find.
