What is the best way to clean £1 coins thar are stained they are a brown green colour.

i just rub them with fairy liquid and a wire wool, good enough for shop  Wink

i use cillit bang lime and grime .leave for 20 mins then wipe clean and repeat if needed ,if you leave them too long like overnight or for hours then they end up pink so keep an eye on them ,it also works on all modern coins and is especially good with badly cruded up coins .
personally i take them to the coinstar machine in tescos as it doesnt care what they look like.i have £50 worth in a tub ,when its full it will all go in the coinstar

Adt69 Why clean them just stick them in the self service till at Asda I just took about £20 there now what iv found out with Stever last week, I got paint and batteries Grin

I took the photo this morning, its a little sad really LOL you can see the dirt on them....... but they all went through the machine Wink
