Silver is a hat pin, minus the pin.

"Charles Horner (born in 1837, died in 1896), the original founder of the jewellery business, achieved much in his 59 years. With his innovative designs and undoubted marketing skills, he laid the foundations of a thriving business, which survived two world wars. It finally went into voluntary liquidation in 1984, at a time when a large sector of British manufacturing industry disappeared."

Gold item is what I think is one part of a fob seal.

Another Charles Horner piece.

I did think it was what you said but I see a hat pin on one of the TV antiques shows a few years ago of a similar design.
