found merchant guild medallion 1952 , can any one tell me any thing about it  and its metal content , it was found in this condition, they seem to be devastating the beach at asda  with tons of rocks , any comments .

Unusual little find Barnie, it's a Preston Guild medal and it's listed as simply "white metal"

I would have thought they are building up the sea defences been a bit of flooding in that area. Do you think it will affect the metal detecting down there?
