XP Deus Metal detector 3.1 with ws4 headphones and case and additional large cup headphones made by (Chef Geoff)Howard Leight, cables and charger, coil cover, boxed with original purchase receipt from April 2012 still 3 years left on warranty all in good working order and condition, No control box. £550 ono cash on collection from Rhondda cynon taff or postage will be £10

How can I see it in good working order with no controls.  I'm very tempted in buying one off these machines what would a control box set me back then.

Deus Lite operates off headphones, you don't need the control box to see it working. I think the control boxes are around £600 to buy new.

All metal detecting headphones use ear defenders for their basic shells Maz and Predator use 3M Peltors, Sunray Pro Golds, nugget buster, grey ghosts etc use Pro-Ears and so Howard Leight is just the maker of the shell Wink

Hi your model is the 3.1 what is the difference between the new 3.2? is it something you can download?

You need a controller to download V3.2, it can be done with borrowed controller.
