Hi,

I have bought a metal detector (Garrett Ace 150) and want to start doing a little bit. I have had a little go on a field today but only found a 1p coin. I am thinking of joining a club so I can get more practice and advice off other members.

How do I join?

Thanks

thanks. I rarely get spare time to be fair, i'm either working or racing downhill mountain bikes. I've always wanted to do metal detection so i'm trying to fit it in somewhere.

Make some time, it's a bit safer than downhill racing and a bit less competitive !

I'd like to join you but the last time that I was on a bike it had a fixed wheel brake ! Think that I'm past my sell by date and should stick with detecting.

lol well i'm 30 now and never had any major crashes or accidents doing it so in the next few years i'll be taken up metal detecting as a hobbie over racing so i'm trying to get started now slowly

Last time you were on a bike it had a big wheel at the front, a little one at the rear and you wore a top hat! lol.

Hark at you Will, you're hardly in the first flush of youth yourself. Has the penny farthing reached Sir Fon yet ?

I don't think they make bikes frames with a safe working load high enough for me now. yes the penny farthing reached Anglesey, but we burned it as we decided it was the devils work and an abomination to The Lord! Lol

I wouldn't have thought Will needed the old farthing unless he has broken his Draisine! Mind you I suppose with old age comes many ailments so the farthing I guess would be a little easier to get along on!   Grin  Grin Grin  Grin Grin
