Enjoyed a nice afternoon in the Sun with a new pal yesterday.  Only 5mins into the field and first blood went to Chantal with what looked like a large copper, as yet unidentified.
Not 10 mins after that up turned this little beauty.  At first sight I thought I'd finally done it and was all set to do my 1st Hammy dance.  Not that  old but I'm well pleased with it.   It's 198 years old and it's in nice condition.
I didn't find much else, just the usual bits and pieces but all in all a very enjoyable 4 1/2 detecting.

Val

Nobby, the way I feel at the mo. I could say not that old compared to me. Roll Eyes

Just been cutting a 'small' conifer down (about 8ft high by 6ft wide). One of those lovely fluffy little things they put in flower baskets. Finished cutting, having a break before I get rid of the darn thing. At least now I can see down the valley.

Word of advice. If any one gets one on Mothers Day throw it in the bin after the other flowers die.  DONT PLANT IT.

Thanks for comments Fellas.  Yes Geoff, good little camera, doesn't disappoint.

Neil, it makes a change to find one I can recognise. Roll Eyes
