If you want a quick, cheap but big step up then yes go for it, most machines will work "in" water even if they are bad on wet sand, the spectrum can be used in most environments because you can adjust so much on it Wink

Yes still in a different league, if I had to put it somewhere in the current line-up then it's up there with Xterra 705, Omega 8000, Fisher 70 Wink

The Whites Eagle Spectrum is a metal detecting classic and a forerunner to the Spectrum XLT, another classic. Both are still very good machines despite their age.

Certain machines tend to get a cult following and the Eagle and XLT fit that.  The DFX and V3i followed them, but many will argue the earlier machines were better.
