Probably another silly question as its probably down to individual preferences.   I haven't seen the pouch on the  second link worn so therefore not sure how and where it hangs and would it hinder the swing of the detector or cause probs when crouching.  Any of you had boyth styles??

So therefore what would you experienced detectors recommend  and why??

I think it's down to personnel preference, but for me it would be number 1  as 2 looks a little bulky Smiley

I'd go for No.1 as well. It's similar to the one I made for myself. Attached a pici so you can judge for yourself.

Personally, neither. They won't last as long as this one. It has a pouch for a hand trowel, dual slots for 2 probes (you heard right you can wield dual probes with this) another slot for a 3rd probe if really needed. Large part for finds. But most of all it IS built to last forever.

If you look around I got mine for 12.99

The bungee attachment is very useful and worth thinking about.  It's not deigned for taking the weight but for suspending the machine when you stop to dig.  Saves having to put it on the ground. Got a piece of strong Velcro round the hand grip with a key ring threaded through. Just attach and go, saves a lot of scratches and cleaning.

Thats the one i got , upgraded as i kept filling the bumbag ones so had to take a rucksack to empty it. Plenty of room in this one i take spare gloves, batterys for probe, water, spare battery pack, snacks and place for the pointer. zipped compartment for good finds aswell, but the junk side is great real depth

Bought one similar to the Makita a year ago from a local tool store. Would never buy another dedicated finds pouch as I'm
unlikely too need one, as this thing is going to last years. It has two pockets, finds in the larger, pointer and trowel in the front smaller section.
It also has two metal rings built into the bag which a use to attach my accessories too via elastic tent cord so I never leave them by the side of a hole.
Think I paid around the £17:00 for it.

Will post a pic later, as I have to go to Blaenavon on an errand shortly.
