Found these a while ago now, but still have not been able to I.D. them.

I know the first one is The Wiltshire Regiment, but what age etc. ??

The second one has really stumped me lol.

Any help would be much appreciated, Paul Wink

Can't help with ID but 2 great finds both in lovely condition.  Button number 2 looks more like a livery button rather than military although I could be wrong.  Any big families in the area the button was found.  Cant quite see the crown but it looks like it is a marquis crown.

Thanks fella, the second button could well be a livery button, completely stumped on that one, and not sure of any Big or Well known families in the area, i'll have to look into that, cheers again m8  Wink

It could be Marquess of Northhampton (Compton family) The fire beacon crest looks very similar.  Can you make out any of the motto I cant make it out on the photo it could help confirm.  Although I don't know if they had any connection with the area you found the button in.
