Hi folks, decided I would track down some medieval finds if possible yesterday so I found myself on a field that many years ago was a real hot spot for these finds, in the form of a possible fair site or at the very least a small settlement that had trade going on for sure Smiley When I first acquired this site it was in the days of the Arado 120s and boy was it difficult with all the iron signals, those of you who has been around a while would know they never had the discrimination of our up to date machines, but in the rite hands they done the business, but you would go home at the end of the day with signals still ringing out in your ears due to the dreaded iron  Shocked Shocked  I digress a  bit, so back to the field, it is in pasture and with my own programmes set up with the Deus which copped fantastically and produced the following finds. Without doubt my favourite is the super little purse frame hanger ? at lest that's what I think it is unless any one else can come up with another ID, I guess its 13th -14th century all though I can not find a comparison as yet, the next find is a lovely little buckle with pin and decoration which I would like to think is early medieval ? just as I was about to leave this nice cut half popped up and this is defiantly up for ID, I hope you enjoyed these little finds, till next time...adios amigos Wink Wink Wink

Ooh some nice finds there. I think my favourite is that buckle. If it is indeed a purse frame then get back there and find the contents.....I'm dreaming of a purse full of gold hammies now.

Some very nice finds again Paul.  Lovely Medieval buckle and purse bar, a bit of near modern and a very nice Roman coin. How did that get in there  Roll Eyes
