well it's taken me ages trying to figure out what machine to get after reading all the highs and lows of each one ,seems that every machine seems to have it's good points and bad ones and with having a bit of a niggle in my right shoulder. i need something fairly light that did land and beach work. and i had it narrowed down to 3 machines the T2 SE and the F75SE both with 2 coils ,but iv'e decided to take the plunge after watching many videos to go for the Deus V3.2 seems to tick all the boxes for me, just need to check on the best price around.....

That's certainly a light machine - and with it's design even my 4 year-old can use it in terms of lightness and ergonomics.

You can get a secondhand T2 or F75 for less than a Deus - certainly I learnt a lot about detecting from a T2, although in terms of being able to go out in all weathers and build quality, the Deus is better (as you can hide the wireless headphones under your hood).

to be honest i'd rather pay the extra and  buy new and then you know for peace of mind that you are not buying anything faulty had a bad experience on flea-bay with a duff item ,plus the Deus comes with a 5 year warranty

The t2 & f75 definately won't do the beach wet sand. Great machines inland very deep fast and light but not the wet sand. I've got a Deus but never tried out on beach yet so no idea how it performs. My friend has used it on a beach and says it was ok but perhaps someone on here will tell us for sure how it performs. Certainly won't be as deep as a Minelab or dfx.

plenty of videos on yout**e showing f75 used in the wet sand , and i got a mate that uses a f75 on the beach and swears by them , dont know if he has used other machines on the beach to compare but his finds rate is superb, myself personally dont think they would come close to a minelab but im just a  junior   Smiley Smiley

Minelabs rule on beaches end of Wink sovereigns you can hip mount and make lighter, Deus superb inland light and lots of options , good on the dry sand, forget wet if you want depth and stability Wink

totaly agree I have a Minelab fbs and is great on the beach [but you need a big spade as they can go very deep] and inland, would not use anything else on beach unless on dry sand. You do get used to the weight and a bungee could be used if wished.

The etrac is a good all rounder but you need to learn it first. It can get heavy on the arm if used all day without a harness. The Deus is light and is easier to use out of the box.
