Hello Badger, congratulations on your finds.  I was one of the detectorists down at Aberavon today, strong wind and a couple of prolonged showers - was soaked on one occasion.  Apart from many fishing weights and bullets I only found 5 coins until heading back for the car, after 3 hours, I was lucky enough to find a 22ct gold 10g wedding band! Not such a bad day after all!  Mind you lost at hockey 2-1 afterwards but you can't have it all.
