Possibly not the best for beach detecting, pin pointing with that disc whilst working in the surt would be a nightmare...

I have been following the ATX for a bit and am waiting on someone to buy one .. out of my league at the moment of time ( too much dinheiro ) lol lol lol

At the end of the day they are Pi machines and so a specialised bit of kit, I don't think a Pi will ever "fly off the shelf" in the UK well not unless we have a gold rush Wink

I guess it depends which way you look at it and what you're comparing it too, a touch of a glass half empty or half full ie "Urrr it's £900 more expensive than a TDI" or Wow! it's £2k cheaper than a GPX5000". It seems targeted at the goldfields and so £2k is nothing compared to the possible returns.
