Cracking find. perhaps we'll see it in the Viking exhibition in London this summer  Smiley
I just can't help wondering if it really was a finger ring. Can't have been very comfortable with the inside of the swirls not been smoothed down. But what a beauty !

I know what you mean, but having tried it on a few times it wasn't that uncomfortable Smiley I think that may have been one of the reasons the FLO changed his mind on it, but there again I think it was too heavy to be an earring, it would have ripped the lobe!
I suppose we'll never know 100%.
