Unfortunately (or not lol) there are none that work well with FBS machines because of the sound wave pattern they use Wink

They would be bluetooth and they lag on all machines, the problem with FBS is that transmitters can't replicate the tones from the machine Wink

Sorry, I meant open screen ie no disc on iron mask and load the nail pattern in to the normal smart screen.
As Outlaw has said you may get a little confused by all the noise and if you do then as he say's turn your sens down though I wouldn't drop below 18 but you could drop you Audio Gain down to 7 which will quieten things down too, in fact the only two controls you will ever really adjust are the sens and the gain

Hi Chef when you say "no disc on iron" mask do you mean -16 ....ie no iron mask ?.and "load nail patern" does that mean clear the smart screen then choose nails .reject ?

cheers

if you're using the 10x12 SEF change recovery to both fast and deep OFF. it seems to give the explorer a bit more sensitivity to really low conductors.
Let us know how you get on Wink

The main ingredient is the soil, if the mineralisation is high, it wouldnt matter if you're an expert or a novice, we all have to reduce the sensitivity to a working sound level that is comfortable.

Dont be afraid to reduce the sensitivity, I have been on sites at a level of 9 and have pulled out some fantastic roman artefacts.

Though on the whole I detect in sensitivity range between 24 - 27, with gain set between 7 and 10. dependant on the ground noise I am prepared to tolerate. Dont be taken in by people telling you to max out all the settings.

When you are detecting, steer clear of electric pylons and farmers electric fences ! Practice and more practice is the only way to learn this machine, if things are quiet up the sensitivity and gain until it becomes noisey then back it off a little.

Walk before running, the se pro is an excellent detector.  Grin

Wow! Dennis what a cracker Shocked
Yes it can be a noisy brute of a program but you will get used to it and don't be scared to turn it all down a bit if needs be. Wink

Just go; Menu-Select, then press "Clear" then scroll down to "Nails" and put an X next to it. And that's it you're Wink good to go
