Had 4 hours in the field opposite my Medieval site yesterday, talk about the rite choice, Smiley the reason I chose this one was that it has crop shooting up at a great rate of knots and the Medieval one is not showing yet. I was beginning to wonder when, and if, some silver was going to show up Huh well as you can see it has  and then some, the two small Hammered came up first with the other pieces after, then it was back to the car for a cuppa, after which I made my way over to and an  gate and started my search, having walked not ten paces the first signal and first spade full produced my first Sixpence Shocked followed by a second one in the hole, a quick check and bang another one more popped up, thinking that was probably all a quick swing of the coil produced a fourth coin, all in the same hole deepest being 8" it was then I thought I had better sit down before I fall down, after admiring them for a while and the inevitable thoughts on how they came to be lost in this field I searched the surrounding area to make sure there was no more?? it looks like a casual loss or purse drop, I have to say and we have all heard it before? I have searched this area well before so it was amazing I had missed them in the past, this is my second purse drop from this field , 4 years ago I had 5 coins and a silver finger ring from Henry VIII. These coins are Sixpences of Elizabeth 1st, from her 3rd/4th issue 1561-1577,I believe? well clearly they come under the treasure act so I wont have them long Sad any one with any doubt as to the depth of the Sovereign attached to an ultimate coil take a look at the hole I dug for a piece of bronze it was 21", if there is a pot or hoard in a field and you go over it with this machine and coil  it will find it Wink Wink Wink other machines are available  Grin Grin, just got a 15x12 WSS coil today so will be back tomorrow to test it and compare. Smiley
