Thanks for comments Kev and Al,the ring is french(beurau de chambre de commerce de France,unfortunately doesnt pass the acid test for gold.The silver is a William3rd 6d love token,the other item is a lead stylus,not sure of its age but probably 15th/16th.Century.

Lovely Al well done , I've had a few of those stylus things, some really small ones with a flattened end and really sharp point as well, maybe a crude needle?

NIce Finds Al,  i was trying to work out if the rind was Gold or a polished up Georgian brass one by the tarnish on it,  gold i expect though.
 yeah the other one is a lead stylus,  and then a William the third love token

Its a William the third sixpence Rob,  can you see the 2 bends down either side,
iv'e just come a cross a nice willaim the thrid sixpence while emptying my coins display cabinet to re-do it for the musem ,  i'll post it when i get a chance

Re some of your questions lads,the inscription inside the ring reads 'Beuraux de Chambre de commerce de France'.I dont think its gold as it failed the acid test. Roll Eyes
