Hello,

Don't know if I am behind the curve here but I have just been on the XP site and there is a V3.2 Update, I have just downloaded it. Supposed to resolve some of the issues people have been having with V3.1, being one of the people that have had the issues lets hope this helps.

V3.2 will correct slow mineralization strength reading and also battery charge lever issues that were seen on some V3.1 units, also the Notch Ground function is now off by default.

Information: From V3 onwards the program Deus FAST (or when REACTIVITY is adjusted to 3, 4 or 5)  has the SILENCER set at -1,  so the target separation is greatly improved. V3 software offers a huge advantage of for those searching in iron infested areas to get more targets. But If you prefer the cleaner iron rejection of V2 software you can simply increase your silencer setting to around 2.

Power cycling?

The charge issue related only to the large coil.

hotmill what issues were you having with the V3.1 ?

cracking signals on iron of all sizes, regardless of depth, very 'chattery' on all programmes regardless of ground type or ground balance selected, depth indicator way out. For some reason since downloading the update its more stable, the tones are more 'positive' just feels like my old Deus before V3.1.

Not a problem with it tonight mate, not sure what they have updated is the cause of the improvement or if the update went better when I did it this time but the machine is a lot better.

All I can say is that it's a big improvement on V3.1 Chris. It was great tonight, just like when on V2, but better. I was on pasture tonight so will give it a go tomorrow on a ploughed field and see if I still feel the latest update has solved my problems. Last night I was ready to get rid of it and get and etrac to be honest.

Cheers Will, I think that I will stick with v2 until they get everything right. Couldn't do with lugging an E trac around !
