Great price reduction on the XP Deus
£649 with the small earphones.
http://www.metal-detectors.org/product-GB.asp?id=604

With full remote £1039 that nigh on £200 less then the other dealers

I have nothing to do with this company, but I have previously bought a detector from them.
Hope this isnt breaking any rules ??

Several weeks back I bought a Garret ATXPro from them and it arrived the next day so I can only judge them by that, though I do know others who have bought stuff from them

I sold the Garrett after 5 days by the way, awfull machine.

Nah the standard Garret ATXPro. Felt like a toy, unbalanced and as for being waterproof I wouldnt have trusted it.

I had an AT Pro before I got the Deus, still have it as a back up machine. Never had any problems with balance and thought the build quality was bullet proof, better than my XP Deus certainly. Used it many times in the pouring rain, covered in mud, just used to put the whole thing under the garden tap and rinse it off,  never an issue with it. Was a bit heavy for me as I have a dodgy wrist and swinging it for a few hours caused me problems, hence the move to the Deus. All in all It's a good machine for the money.

Not surprising the Deus will start its 5th year in service soon.

Magic piece of kit. Wink  Jerry.

Made in China perhaps; remember the recent Garrett ProPointer debacle?

I have heard that the Deus will be sold in the future with the new 11 inch coil rather than the current 9 inch. Could be they are clearing the 9 inch coil versions? Who knows?

There is talk that XP may limit the 11" to new machines only and not as an accessory coil. Huh

Yes, the Deus will sometime next year be sold with the 11" coil as standard.

I'm on the waiting list for the 11", which I'm not likely to get until Feb 2014!

The 11" is the same weight as the current 9".     The 9" will still be handy for stubble fields and other tight areas.

Talk? who from? Not from XP..
They are taking confirmed order for the 11" coil.
I've cancelled my order with Regtons as I'm happy with the 9" coil

There is reportedly quite a performance benefit with the 11"over the 9".

I mostly used the 13x11 but it was never balanced properly and the weight noticeable over the 9".  Sold it to get the 11".
