Rob has worked tirelessly over the past 2 days to try and find an alternative farm to hold the 2 day rally on, unfortunately with no luck.

It's basically been out of our control. We had the farm secured for the past two months and they have suddenly just decided no. This is despite a conversation this week on Monday with the farmer, when they were more than happy to be having us. We are unable to offer an explanation for their decision now not to want a rally. It's a real shame and beyond our control. We really don't understand what has happened to change their mind.

Apologies to all members for this bad news, but most of all I feel for Rob after all his hardwork.

Chin up mate - there will be other farms and rallies. You did everything you could.

Neil

Thanks for letting us know, I know the Rob and the rest of the DW team would have tried their best, on a positive note, at least I won't have a hangover next Sunday morning. Can't wait for the next one Smiley

Sorry to hear this after all the hard work had been put in. Farmers are a fickle breed at the best of times and a law unto themselves. Better luck next time.

Hard to fathom why the land-owner has had a change of heart but the weather was gonna be shite anyway guys &  there is always another rally just round the corner, as they say Rob ...some you win ... Wink

What a let down this must be for all who has put work into arranging this. Just out curiocity, can I ask what the farmer gets out of it beside the fees for camping ? Do we pay them anything for the fields we have access to ?
