he's right though mate you'll be lucky to get 7.50 for it ive been trying to sell mine for three months and no one wants em.
even tried mine as low as 650,its on 3 or 4 forums and preloved and all im getting is idiots offering me 300 quid.
3 coils,sunray probe,metal armcup,3 covers,lithium battery,1 top stem,2 bottom stems,1 camlock,advertised it for 1200 now i think thats a great price considering whats with it.
but on preloved i put it on for offers over 600 quid just to get some interest after having none for months and people are continualy getting in touch saying ill take that for 600 quid when can i collect ?lol.
and then get all uppity when i tell them where to go,and "do you actually know what even a secondhand etrac is worth mate?if not you shouldnt be trying to buy one"
and then you just get a torrent of abuse back am i in the wrong for wanting a fair price for the stuff ive paid a fortune for?

It's a buyers market through the Summer months and always has been, now that the crops are coming out prices will pick up.
October is the time to sell and June is the time to buy Wink

The problem here and its the same selling anything, isnt what anything is worth, its what people and the market as a whole will pay for something.
Looking at most sales places, the average price for a used E Trac is around £600-£750so your going to have a problem selling it for more unless it has extra coils and goodies with it.
Trying to charge £1k for one, unless there's extra coils and goodies is daft because for only a little more you can get a new one with a guarantee.

this is true but i also think if i was buying one now id rather buy the one for 750 than the 600 one as you know if someone is selling one of these for 600 quid its gonna be dog eared and dipped in poo.
whereas the 750 one will be unscratched and in a lot better order.
i know when i was looking the only way i could get one was to trade with a mate for my se which was mint and put 200 quid on top,i paid 535 the year before for the se so it cost me 735 so we're in that good upper are for a price for an etrac or else i wouldnt have the one ive got now because all the ones available were between 900 and a grand with no bits.
