hi all
i had a phone call wednesday evening just gone.off a farmer in monmouth a very good friend of mine.asking me could i do him a favour and go to a farm in garway herefordshire his friend has lost his wedding band in the cow shed.
i told him no problem we could come up sunday..myself..gavin..and the farmer from monmouth headed up to garway about 8.30 this morning.
arrived at the farm and the farmer put the kettle straight on.which was only fair a 120 mile round trip..lol.
after a quick cuppa he took us to the cow sheds. he had a rough idea where he had lost it.
he was,nt far out fair-play. after about 15mins of crawling around on our knee.s..the pin pointer went off i scratched the surface where the pointer went off.and there it was just under the soil the cows had just stepped on it.. and the ring just sunk a little bit below the surface.
needless to say the farmer was bouncing.lol..he offered us a reward for finding it £20 each..i told the farmer thanks for offering but really theres no need for any money.we are only glad we could help you..besides its not your money im interested in..its your farm im interested in..lol.
before we knew it. he.d been on the phone to 2 near by farmers and by 10am we had three undetected farms..we did.nt detect any of the 3 farms.we went back to monmouth with rob the farmer to spend the day on his farm as planned..it was well worth the journey a great out come..
but more so. happy to find the ring and do a farmer a favour for a change.

Nice going guys Smiley  You could have called me as I'm local, but that way you wouldn't have got those extra permissions, so it was worth the 120 mile trip to site anyways  Wink

Well done anyway guys, I had to look for one for a farmer friend about a month ago, it was 1/4 mile from where he said it was though ...

That's a great result. Hopefully you will find more gold on the farms when you head back that way.
