I had a folded Eddie penny the other day so decided to go back to the field to see if there was any more to be found. It was quiet, only an 1876 threepence and usual rubbish. I was heading home when I found what I thought was a George ii Irish Halfpenny. Got it home and gave it a bit of a scrub and it's a James ii Irish halfpenny 1686. I'm well chuffed with it.

Well that's two coins I wouldn't mind finding this year Smiley

I get a lot of Geo III Irish coins on the farm I go to, but nothing earlier so far.
