i dont have to dream, you ask any of the original mudlark crowd on the ukdectornet forum ,theres a few on there .
they will confirm the bulk  finds that could be made . east coast stew is an old mudlark hand on the metaldetectingforum .
if they didnt find a few dozen hammered in an afternoons dig that was a bad day .
a hoard of 374 Ed 1 pennies was the record for a days dig . a small hoard , a pal of mine found them .

firtling john on the XP forum is an thames  old hand that will confirm the bulk finds that could be made ,drop him a pm for confirmation.
he used to be the chairman of the club

Ah I believe your talking about the 70's and early 80's, yes I remember what used to come off there. You wrote it in the present tense so I thought you meant now Wink

i can post some pics of my finds but not sure how to do it on here , my silver 17th century spur and 17th century wine taster were good finds. hallmarked
dont confuse me with  steve brooker who finds juck and rubbish-  thanks
