Hi guys & Girls

At this present moment I am pushing for an alterarion to the law as for beach detecting supported by the following.

Beach detectins has the following benifits:

Celaning:
A metal detectorist cleans the beaches of all kinds of objects poisining the enviroment

Mentality changing:
A metal detectorist only needs to influence one person per trip to the beach as regards polution and litter to chance the mentaity and lack of regard for the enviroment.

Moral & Sentimental.
The reunion of a cherished sentimental object to the previous owner, is worth more than any nonetary value

Ecomomy:
re introduce physical casho back in to the moneraty system, benifiting directly and indirectly the local enconomy

Loss of eranings:
Whilst the existing laws are the way there are in Portugal the government is loosing revenue from beach detecting permits and public liability insurance.

health benifits:
It is proven fact that walks, etc, benifit directly health, reducing dependancy on teh allready overloaded national health system...

The above obviously is more elaborate and backed up with documented evidence and supported by campaigners who campaign to keep the beaches clean. It will be a long, long hard process and I will be pushing for this on my own, for as long as it takes...

The Archaelogists have no arguement to prevent such alterations, neither the Navy and ministery of defense, whom run the beaches with the maritime police, ( these are the fellows who take your detector and give you a fine )

Anyway, I have my work cut out for me.....     Sad

Anyway a more cheerful note, its not all doom and gloom.-

Some ear rings ( bling ) and another €19.oo to my accumulated mass of over £ 300.oo

Unfortunately ive spent in allready on a new toy...  Cool

And the most important of it all, the benifit for the enviroment..this is the trash from my last 2 trips, now proud to say removed seperated and placed in the recycling bins....

every little helps....  Wink

and the small copper / steel & copper plated 1 / 2 & 5 cents Euro......
Dont think in the future many metal detectorists will be digging any of these up..

My Whites Pulse induction beach detector should be here next week, I hope to show some Gold soon...

Soon be enough to buy the UK. I think we are about to implode just like Greece.

Good luck to you Monco, The pulse will bring more finds on the wet.
