Good post kev, love the finds, been debating whether to add to it. Not bragging, have just persevered and been lucky enough to walk over them. Have been there at 3 finds the first ones were civil war period wrote about this early on in the DW forum.
No. 2 was the last reported under the old system in Powys 1996/7.
No. 3 was the first reported under the new system in Hereford 1997/8

So they both made history , nice.

About twenty years ago I found a smal hoard of hammered silver from the reigns of elizabeth 1 James the 1 and charles 1 there were about ten coins in total one halfcrown of James 1 one halfcrown of charles 1a couple of shillings of James and elizabeth ect, I had to go to a treasure trove inquest the decision went against the crown on the basis there was no container it was believed they were originally in a leather purse which had rotted away the museum mentioned to me they did,nt have a  James 1 halfcrown of that type in their collection we came to an arrangement where I sold them the halfcrown after valuation and I also donated a James 1 Irish shilling from the hoard known as an harpy  because of the design according to edward beasley I  also found a small hoard of william 111milled silver shillings four in total three were completley blank the other one is in reasonable condition !! good luck every there may be a hoard waiting to be found saturday Huh Huh Grin Grin mole
