That's a lovely one. Well done. Not bad for a newbie. Some detectorists take years to find their first ring inland. Good on you.

Thanks everyone for your kind words of encouragement, still cant believe it, Shocked  I spent all saturday on the old fellas farm and best thing i pulled was a brass horse buckle, then today i nip round the corner to the school field and pull a nice 1877 vic penny then a beautiful gold and silver ring  Grin ....  TBH though i cant help but think about the original owner of this ring, when did they lose it?...how did they lose it? I bet they are gutted...  I'm thinking i should put a small add in the Flint Chronicle to see if i can reunite it with its owner.  Not to sure how i would word it though?   Any thoughts guys? Huh

Nice ring. If the design is still available, it's probably not that old, so you probably could find the owner - the only problem is deciding that the ring belongs to whoever claims it - it's a bit like holding up a £50 note and asking who it belongs to........

You sound as if you have the same affliction as me..."A conscience"  pop it to the local police station and record it as found, you never know it may have been reported lost but if it's not on their books or no one claims it in a couple of months you get it back but legally and with a clear conscience Wink
