hi, got to own up steve took photo s  ::)thanks for rabbit leg, i thought i saw a 3 legged rabbit  hopping around after,  it was fresh steve still now ive cut it down ,and fits into my finds box, will stay there till i get my roman gold aurius steves william 111 and my fox or fish mount well done steve

hi the mount above turned out to be a 15th cent stirrup mount id by the vac, possible a bear head,  out today with hedgehog, great day , only had a elizzy penny mint mark tun, two in a row stuck in  a hardened  earth,  steve had a great roman fibula , enamelled, with a silver band hope steve posts the photo, it s got to be a rare fibulia,  thanks for day out steve regards john

out with hedgehog today, trying a new site,  steve said on the way there. theres no roman in this site. end of day steve s denarius,  Roll Eyes i m supposed to have the roman steve the hammy s, huh did find a unusual buckle, possibly 14th cent, and guess what a hammy, elizebeth 1 sixpence 1571, that rabbit  foot you gave me i can t stop finding hammys Grin where my gold roman coin, thanks for great day out, and trmendous job cleaning and straighting my coin, regards john

Definitely no Roman there John  Embarrassed I think you talk the denarii out of the ground. Good news on the buckle, I think it's 1250-1350, have a look at the link and see what you think.

Nice finds John - Hedgehog is spot on in the buckle description - a pretty early medieval one. Theres also a few similar in Ross Whiteheads book.
