Well, on one of my last outings for the next few weeks, i went to a local field that we have known to be very quiet, over the years. It was indeed slow going, but after coffee and having changed frequencies from 11khz, to 8khz, i went back over the same ground and was pleasantly rewarded with the finds below.

a beautiful modern button, in amongst the other buttons, a musket ball, a lead token [surface find], a commonwealth penny and  a buckle. Well pleased with the result, and yet again discovered the fact that one should never ever write a field off as being unproductive.

enjoy

Alan there are times I hate you.  I've walked my little feet to a red hot mush this afternoon and come home with.................Zilch............scrap................rubbish. Not a keeper among them.  Now that's what I call a quiet field.

Got to say though,  well done, lovely finds. That's a cracking button, love it.
