Keeper of the Lights

Tell me that this is what I think it is, and if it is what I think it is,
then can someone tell me how old it is ? If it's not what I think it is ,
then I must be wrong, but I'm sure it is what I think it is and so I must
be right. But correct me if I'm wrong.  Grin Grin I went out for an hour tonight and found it.
It's complete and still has it's clanger.
The second object is made of lead, it has a small hole in the end of it. I don't know
what it is , but if somebody does know what it is, then could you tell me what it is ?
if I guess what it is then I might be wrong, on the other hand I might guess right and
then I wouldn't have to ask you what it is as I'd already know. But I don't and
therefore I'm asking , what is it ? I'd rather have the right answer than the wrong answer.
but If you don't know, then you're in the same boat as me. although I don't own a boat,
maybe you do, and if you don't own a boat the I can't be in it , unless you borrowed a boat.
I'd rather you didn't as I get sea sick. Grin

Grin Grin  thanks people. I just can't find a picture of a crotal bell with the same
suspension loop to date it.

I have never seen one with that sort of suspension loop. Very unusual. When I was involved with Yeovil MDC I booked a guy to give a talk on crotal bells. He is one of the foremost experts on the subject and is always eager to record new makers marks or variations etc. If you were interested I can ask permission to give you his e-mail address. I am sure he would be interested to see it and give you information on it.

Yes that would be great, although theres no makers mark or number on it, still
even if it's 20th century it would be nice to know

If it were unusual he would still be interested despite there being no makers initials. I will send him an e-mail and get back to you when he replies to me.

Silky it certainly looks like a handle off something, although its only
2 inches long and the hole on the front is only about the width of a
cocktail stick. Before anybody gets the boot in I am talking about the lead thingy Grin Grin
