I found this on Monday. It has a Celtic look to it. It'd be nice to know if anyone knows what it is or seen one similar.

Thanks!

Dare I ask if it's the G word ?  Don't know about Celtic but it could be spending G. You know what I mean, chop a bit off and away you go.
Didn't Avalon find something like that in his hoard ?

Gold?

I'll weigh it now and it'll be off to Hatton Garden Metals tomorrow!  Wink

Is it magnetic at all Bob?

Looks like a brass spring off a brooch, at least in design. It doesnt have any patterning or shapes cut into it on the inner edges.

If it is gold, could be a scrap brooch.or clothes attachment, or even a hair decoration.

Is the scale inches?

If its centimeters it is more likely to be gold.

It's 6 inches long.

I don't think it's gold.

It's difficult to know what it may be used for.

Looking at the slight bends in the straightened part they do seem to correspond in distance with the curves at the other end which for my money makes it a stretched brass spring Undecided
