What ho, from North Somerset. At the young age of threescore years and eleven,I've taken up MD'ing with a Garrett Ace 250 + probe.
Have four permissions, but have'nt found much of note in the two weeks Ive had the detector - loads of nails, a donkey shoe, the back of a silver watch case and a tombac button.
The local hoard must be around the corner!

Well done you and welcome to the forum. We have used the same machine and find them really good.  You;ll get lots of advice on here and when you see that a Rally is posted perhaps join in and meet the other 'tectees personally.

Good luck

Welcome to D.W. Keith. You're in good company here, there are a few of us young oldies.

Just try not to find a busy, busy field. It's murder on the old back. Any questions, just ask. There's always someone ready to answer and help. Watch out for the Rallies, Somerset comes up regularly.

Look forward to seeing some of your finds.

There's a few members on here from Nailsea who I'm sure would be willing to give you some pointers if you ever need them. Wink
