Took the opportunity of the good weather to get out nice and early onto a new site. The finds are very interesting and cover a wide dating range. The best find of the day, in my honest opinion is the exquisite lozenge shaped design brooch. It's been suggested as being 2nd century. But i welcome comments.

oh, and another crotal bell fragment!

A cracking brooch and in excellent nick. The roman wotsit could possibly be the top of a nail cleaner. The crotal bell fragment has an unusual pattern. I have not seen one with those diamond shapes before.

Hi Al, didn't you do well. Some really nice finds there. Much nicer finding artifacts than coins. Love the brooch and I bet that crotal bell would have been a ringer when it was whole  Cheesy
I notice you've put what the item is under the pici as well, thanks Al.
