Went out with Ian and Stig today. I think Stig may have been eaten by a sheep.

The Scalloped disk is actual on screen size , any ideas?

Well done Rob, I hope you strike gold one day, it's not for want of trying that's for sure, nice Vicky. The pastry cutter is interesting think it is 18th century in style , but do wonder how many years it was used for before it hit the dirt , and how many pies it made , and who ate them  Grin

Nice finds, but I'm still not convinced on the pastry jigger theory, they turn up too often and in weird places, I'm still betting on leather working tool.

Are they strong enough for a leather working tool Chef, interesting , but I thought they would need to be a lot more substantial to work with leather. Tried marking my belt with a screwdriver but the marks disappear after a short time . Here is a link to an almost complete one Rob.

No I still don't think it's a pastry cutter even on UKDFD. From a professional point of view the scalloping is too tight and fine it would have to be very thin pastry to show the effect, and if it was simply for cutting then a flat blade similar to a pizza cutter would be cheaper and easier to make.
No it wouldn't work on a belt thickness of leather but what about boots or jackets?

I can remember them being used as pastry cutters chef, not that old but very similar, here is a link to two modern ones!
