Decided to try A bifrent plaice today in an estuary at low water only had x1 signal from x4 hrs detecting but was happy with this item think it may be  A cap or coat badge  it mesures x 2cm x1.5 does any one have any ideas on what it is please

yes its a cap badge , but the leaf has broken off at the top.i forget the regiment though

actually could be a feather ,,old age cant fully remember ,but i know its a regimental cap badge

I've been looking and can't see one exactly like yours Congerman.
 Have a look at this site. They seem to make reproductions of every badge you can think of.
