hi ,
im having trouble pinning a definitive date on this , i think its a mount with 2 broken prongs on back , it has some very nice gilding that to me has an early medieval chip/carve look about it ?
interested to hear your thoughts .

there is a slight scratch on it showing gold sp im guessing copper alloy but the grayness of it is odd , pewter or tinned i first thought  Huh Huh Huh whole things a puzzle really .
