Found this a few months ago whilst out on my Roman field, didn't think too much about it at the time, but have done a bit more research and believe it to be part of a Roman Hypocaust tile, which, if it is sheds a whole new light on my site Smiley

Herbie, sorry I didn't mean it wasn't a hypocaust tile in fact it "probably" is, just that the tiles used in a hypocaust were the same as any other tile (walls, floor etc), the marks are just mortar keys.
