Iv,e a 9" coil and bottom stem from a Whites spectrum, and I was wondering,if it would be possible to use this on my lazer scout, not only does the whites stem fit into the the middle stem of the lazer, but also clicks nicely into place, the 5 pin jack seems also to match,I have,nt tried it yet,as I dont want to balls up my lazer, but any feedback from any tech minded detectorists out there would be most welcome. has anyone tried any mix and match setup like this and what were the results. p.s. not to be recommended if your detector is still under warranty.

Hi jondav,
A fraind of mine had £100 to spend on a detector he bought a old Tesoro from Ebay, to find out the coil was broken.
He took his dads old cscope metal detector what was broken changed the adaptor around on the coil and it seemed to work fine for him.
I'd be a little wary of missing things tho, it would play on my mind abit, but it may be ok lets see what others say.
