if you google minlab 705,you`ll get lot of video`s on face book,all aspects of detecting with the 705.well worth watching, you will learn an awful lot about the machine.

Really? the one in mine was rubbish Cheesy Great on dry sand but it ain't no wet beach machine Undecided

there is a beach mode on the 705 do you lose depth by turning down the sensitivity

I have a NEL coil on my 705 and haven't found the combination much use on the beach.  Pick up and old Explorer or Sovereign; both fantastic beach machines.
