Found this on one of my new farms. I know its RC and going by the design, the closest I can compare
is one advertised for sale and that is dated 1923.
As the village nearest to the farm is fairly small, I'm hoping to find the family it belongs too but I need an idea as to when
the item was lost to help me do that (who was living there at the time and so on).
Anybody able to shed light on possible year of manufacture based on this design please. There are so many variables in this medal but
this one is different in several ways from all the ones I've been able to source so far.
Cheers

Hi Mike,  has it got any hall marks.
Found this one which is very similar but it's got hall marks so can be dated.
I'd say it's about as close as you might get.

Why Irish Huh
Nice find Mike and a sad loss for somebody.  Like you I can't find an exact match but given that these are/were generally worn post confirmation but pre marriage and given that the name Irene reached it's peak of popularity around 1920 then my guess would be 1900-1930 but the use of the word "silver" rather than a hallmark may be something to look at for a date Wink
