Let's hope these cards don't get issued too soon over here. I guess it's just a matter of time.

Your a bit late hoping they won't come over here. Barclays has been using it for a couple of years and my HSBC cards have it now.

When I got the link there was some text saying it was an American video but other countries could follow suit. Obviously the link has been doing the rounds. I hadn't heard of these type of cards and assumed they were new. I have just had a new Debit card from Natwest and that is the normal standard issue type.

Yup - I got my first one about 2 years ago - originally they could only be used in London - and for up to £15 a transaction, but now you can pay in a lot of places (McDonalds, Unlucky Fried Kitten, etc) for transactions up to £20 a time.

Well that was quite funny. I watched the news clip, complete with ear phones and Hubby wanted to know 'what you watching now' ?
I explained about the cards and the latest tech. which gave rise to a tyrade of objections. No No Never ect. Then I read Geoffs post. HSBC ?? thats our bank. I looked at mine ....no.....nothing on mine. Then Hubby checked his and, yes, there it is....He's already got one. Now he's going to take it to the Bank tommorrow and tell them to stick it. Shocked Roll Eyes

We'll see.
