I once took one on a boating/fishing holiday on the Norfolk broads.
We pulled out of the water half a dozen boat hooks, broken fishing rods and landing nets, keys, loads of knives, forks, and spoons. An umbrella and a glass jar with a metal lid. Inside it was full of plastic fake maggots!!!!!  Cheesy

I go fishing off Redwick and Goldcliff. Well known for Roman activity. I wonder what you may pull up! There again anything ferrous will be long gone.

I'm amazed they still make them, somebody must be buying them.

I once made one up from an old pa speaker magnet to fish my mates tool box out of a well. It worked fine and was great fun.
