 I go by myself these days,  in a way its better, i can go where i want and search how i want,  you miss the company at times though,  i always used to be sharing what i can see and my thoughts on it,

Alan, I think it is much better to go with someone so that you can keep "in touch" so to speak if anything happens to you.

It has been known in my circle that a loner for the day fell over a 5 barred gate instead of opening it and laid there in agony for 6 hours with a broken leg before anyone found him.

You don't need to communicate verbaly but that is your chouce.

 I always went with a mate when I was able to detect, with that in mind really, but don't tell him that will you?    Roll Eyes

   your so right too charles,  the safty aspect to it,  if you have an accident there is some one there,
 but the two lots of so called mates over the last few years have ended up  doing the dirty on me mate, big time,

OK Aan, I except that but I still think you should look around and find someone that is compatible with you.
You cannot afford to go out on your own even if you take a friend that is willing to walk along side you, That would be diffiult.

Thanks for your concern Charles,  you are right though, a compatable mate too,  i'm training my little grandson up for the post anyhow  lol  lol.
i was hoping to get out this morning, the dark skies and rain keep threatening though,  call into the leisure centre on the way back for a swim and a shower then,
ohhh i think the sun is coming out, better go and check
