Well the grand score was 44, coins deposited in what appears to be a leather bag. It was fascinating watching the excavation and the evidence it could reveal, it made me feel quite guilty about just digging a hole lol.
From what can be gleaned from the dig, the bag was deposited below the floor level and next to a wall, whether inside or out can't be told without a lager scale excavation but the obvious thought is that it was inside.

So not only has Nick found a hoard he has also added an unknown building to the record. All the coins would appear to be radiates but official mint and so looks as if they were selectively chosen, too early to tell for certain but first thoughts are that they are all from the reigns of Gallienus and Claudius II  so 260-272 AD.
