My MXT pro seems to give up when I see a beach used it on swansea beach Barry island and Tenby and not picking up a thing in either wet or dry sand despite using salt mode. We have tried coin tests and machine struggling to find coins at 4 or 5 inches in sand. But what we find strange is it will find stuff on parkland in ground setting any ideas anybody? As it is driving us mad and spoiling our enjoyment of the hobby.  Whites service is unobtainable despite a recorded message telling us they open at 830  we keep getting the office is closed every time we phone after this time.

The MXT, like most single frequency machines, will never be great on the beach.

To do well on a salt water beach, you need a multi-frequency machine or a PI.
