pah ,hes just trying to sell more machines ,who cares? its not as if the fields are full of gold fragments
im happy finding silver because theres a damn lot more of it in the ground

I don't sell 'em. Never have either. And it makes no difference to me if someone buys one or not. I'm not on
any commission, either!

I just use it because of its performance. I presume that's why Mike and Dai use one.

Guys play nicely now. This is an interesting thread, keep it civil and get back on topic.

Cheers

Manual GB is hardly a difficulty, it's not too many years ago and it was standard on 99% of machines. Performance will always be improved with manual GB. In fact Minelab have just brought the feature back on their CTX.

Geoff

The Deus like an GMP loves coke

The gold in question comes in just above the aluminium range and a is a low conductive target, its the size and weight of the gold which is confusing most detectors tried on it.

The Deus has no trouble getting this gold on the surface

At 3 inches  in the ground in clearly struggles

Does this mean the Deus or any of the other detectors that have failed the test are rubbish  Huh

Of course not

Well hang on,

My Etrac got it on the surface and struggled (but got it) down at a 3-4 inch clodge depth. That would put it in the same category as the Deus I guess for a piece of gold at that shape and size and of the same alloy.
